How To Get Your Business BBB Accredited

Are you looking for ways to boost your business’s reputation? Then, you should consider getting BBB (Better Business Bureau) accredited — especially if your competitors have their accreditation. Many companies that are BBB accredited market this to their clients throughout their website — this is an advantage we strongly recommend looking into and applying for.

Why Your Business Should Be BBB Accredited

  • Your competitors have it
  • Greater exposure
  • Enhances business credibility
  • Builds trust with consumers/clients
  • BBB referral program
  • You’ll get a BBB business profile page

How Much Does It Cost?

Getting BBB accredited is an investment that will definitely pay off in the long run. You’re probably wondering, “Okay, well, how much is this going to cost me?” Well, your accreditation dues will differ depending on how big your business is.

Here are the different due amounts:

  • 1 to 4 employees: $535
  • 5 to 9 employees: $560
  • 10 to 20 employees: $610
  • 21 to 40 employees: $720
  • 41 to 75 employees: $820
  • 76 to 100 employees: $985
  • 101 to 150 employees: $1,200
  • 151 to 250 employees: $1,350

You’ll then have an additional charge of $100 to the above rates for each affiliated business in your service area.

If your business is in California, add $200 for each additional location or branch serviced by another BBB in California. Add $100 for each additional location or branch service by another BBB outside of California. This fee goes to the BBB, where the branch office is located.

The application fee is $75.

Please Note: These are dues for 2020; they may change for 2021.

The good news is that your investment is tax-deductible as a business expense. (BBB tax I.D. 94-1143674)
